What Types of Advertising Space can I Sell?Basically you can sell any type of advertising space you can think of in any medium. If you cannot find a category that matches your ad space criteria, just suggest a category that you feel will and we will add it to AdsBay. How to Sell Advertising SpaceBefore you can sell advertising space you will need to register, you can register by going to the register page and filling in all the required details. Once you have submitted the registration form an email will be sent to the email address you provided on the registration form which will prompt you to activate your account. Once you have clicked on the activation link in that email your account will be activated, you can then proceed to the login page and login.
Once you have logged in click the “SELL” button on the top menu, you will then be taken through seven steps, which will help you create your advertising auction.
Step 1 (Main Category): Select your primary category, this is where your advertising space will be listed for sale.
Step 2 (Secondary Category): Select a secondary category if want your ad space to be listed in more than one place. If you do not wish to display your advertising space in a second category just click “NEXT STEP”, just above the category selection boxes.
Step 3 (Item Details): Here you can fill in your advertising space details. You need to create a captive title which will capture a potential buyers attention, this title is used when displaying all the listings. You may optionally also enter a subtitle, which can also be seen in the listings. You must also create a description for your advertising space, this should include as much detail as possible as to where the ad will be placed, all the requirements of the ad and what they will get if they win the auction for your ad space.
Step 4 (Item Settings): Here you need to setup all the options of your auction, including; what auction format you want to use, how much you want to start the auction at, what optional extras you want added to your auction to improve its visibility, how long you want the auction to run for, any additional information about your listing, what pictures you would like with your auction, etc.There are 4 different auction formats available, each allowing you to gain a different result from bidders. The type of auction format you choose depends mainly on the item you are trying to sell and also on your auction preference. The 4 different auction formats are; Standard Item, Dutch Item, Reverse Auction and Price Drop Auction, all of which are explained in more detail on the Auctions Types page.
Step 5 (Shipping & Payment): This section allows you to specify all the shipping and payment details for your auction and also tells you how much the setup of the auction will cost depending on all the options you chose. NOTE: Most items don’t require shipping, so this option is not available in some categories.
Step 6 (Item Preview): This step only allows you to see an overview of your auction details, however it does not show you exactly how you auction will be laid out.
Step 7 (Finish): Once you have clicked “Submit” in Step 6 you will be show a confirmation page informing you that your auction has been setup.
